My husband and I have a consulting business that keeps us busy working from home in Victoria, or at client sites across BC & Alberta. We have the luxury of being able to work remotely for most of the time, with onsite meetings as required. I was never really an experienced camper, having only tried tenting twice at campgrounds (I don't count all the backyard tent experiences). In 2015, we were invited to join friends for a week dry camping lakeside in the middle of a forest. This sounded exciting for our 10yo, so our first venture was with a 'free' camper and a used pickup truck. I was hooked! That camper was given to a young family trying to get into camping for their first time, and we purchased a used fifthwheel and a newer truck for our next year at that same campsite. We did sell that fifth wheel and kept looking around at different models and configurations to see what would suit the type of camping we like. Our most recent fifth wheel is similar layout to the first one - I guess we already knew what we liked.
